The Position
The candidate for this Senior Architect position at UNStudio, is required to manage the technical aspects of a project. Your expertise covers design, technical intricacies, construction budget understanding, contractual deliverables understanding.
As senior, you can advise the Project Manager on workload, possible risks, deliverables, software limitations, bottlenecks in the internal and external workflow. You effectively communicate with our consultants and other stakeholders in the project, reporting the discussions agreements to the whole team to ensure internal coordination.
Your technical expertise's allows you to advise on the most suitable solutions.
It is requested to travel for meetings or workshops abroad, when deemed required. Planning such travel is, however, always done as much as possible in advance, and typically for a duration of a few days of meetings abroad.
The Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent in Architecture
At least 12+ years of experience as an Architect within a dynamic, international environment, with proofed records of technical expertise;
Having a number of large and/or complex projects built in the portfolio;
Broad experience coordinating with consultants to ensure the successful delivery of these projects;
Familiar with all phases of design with a focus on design development, construction documentation and construction;
Deep knowledge of construction materials and techniques;
Ability to review specs;
Fluent in English (presenting, speaking, reading, writing);
Extensive Revit expertise with track record of BIM projects in the latest stage of design is mandatory;
Extensive AutoCAD expertise is preferable, but not mandatory;
Experience with BEP and CDE is a plus;
Experience with Rhino-BIM workflow is a plus.
Fluent in English (presenting, speaking, reading, writing).
Good knowledge of Arabic both spoken and written is a plus.
