Junior Model Maker
As a Junior Model Maker within an architectural studio, you bring visionary 3D concepts to life through intricate physical scale models. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on, creative individual to work on a diverse range of projects, from masterplans and buildings to interiors and product designs. The Requirements:
Work permit in The Netherlands
Relevant experience is a plus, internship or related studies
Passion for design and hands-on fabrication - by far the most important quality.
Strong understanding of 3D space and scale.
Proficiency with various materials and both machine and hand tools.
Familiarity with 2D and 3D software (e.g., Rhino 3D, AutoCAD) is a plus; willingness to learn new tools.
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team.
Fluent in English.
The Position:
Craft high-quality models using a wide variety of materials, including wood, plastic, and sustainable options like cork and paper.
Operate and maintain tools and machines, including 3D printers (SLS, SLA, FDM) and laser cutters.
Collaborate with designers to translate 3D concepts into tangible models, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Occasionally oversee interns, guiding them in their model-making tasks.
Contribute to maintaining a safe and organized workspace, promoting creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
