Our Human Resources department is looking for a dedicated HR Advisor with a focus on Learning & Development to grow with our team in Amsterdam.

We are looking for an HR Advisor with a specialisation in Learning & Development who is ready to join an award winning, international architectural office. UNStudio was founded in the Netherlands in 1988, and has since expanded to include six offices around the globe. The Position

As the HR Advisor you will be engaged in the professional support and coaching of managers on all HR topics. Informing and advising management and employees on all HR-related issues throughout the department's cycle will be one of your main tasks. You will also provide advice on organisational changes and processes. 

In addition to the all-round role of HR Advisor, your specialisation is Learning & Development. Our employees come from all over the world. Growing and learning plays a key role in our organisation. The Requirements:

  • Maintain and develop HR policies and procedures following best practice and compliance in line with current legislation and effectively meeting the needs of the business.
  • You always look for opportunities to optimise HR processes. In addition to Learning & Development, you and your colleagues are responsible for the entire HR policy, including Performance Management, Recruitment & Labour Market Strategy, Benefits & Compensation, Health & Wellbeing. The operational HR issues are divided within the team.
  • Within the Learning & Development specialisation you are, among other things, involved in career development and career paths, succession planning, culture development, leadership programs, talent development and team development.
  • Coordinates the purchasing of development activities, monitors the development budget and guarantees the quality of suppliers (coaches, trainers and training agencies) by means of evaluations.
  • Provides input for the HR strategy, annual plan and budget, based on substantive expertise in the assigned HR theme Learning & Development.
  • Acting as case manager for absenteeism and reintegration processes. Monitoring all obligations regarding absenteeism and advising management with regard to prevention of absenteeism and sustainable employability.
  • Provide HR support to staff and managers, ensuring that your advice is in line with company policy, current employment legislation and ensuring a consistent approach is adopted.

The requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Human Resources Management (graduated in the Netherlands)
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Proactive change agent: your coaching skills enable you to engage and partner with managers and staff to effectively manage (cultural) change
  • Excellent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken is a must
  • Excellent knowledge of the Dutch labor law is a must
  • 32- 40 hours available per week
  • In terms of personal skills, you are a team player, a good communicator and you have a structured approach with strong analytic skills. You are hands on, pragmatic and have an enthusiastic manner with a friendly approachable style.
