The Position:
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the technical delivery of diverse architectural projects. Working closely with senior technicians, architects, and multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure technical accuracy and feasibility throughout project phases.
Technical Drawings and Documentation: Produce precise technical drawings, schematics, and construction documentation to support all project phases.
Building Information Modeling (BIM): Create and manage BIM models using tools like Revit to support project coordination and clash detection.
Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all technical deliverables comply with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
Coordination and Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure alignment of technical specifications with design intent.
Material and Systems Research: Research materials, construction techniques, and system specifications to inform technical detailing.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that technical drawings and documentation meet UNStudio's quality standards and project deadlines.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical challenges that arise during design and construction phases.
The Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's/master's in architectural technology, Architecture, or a related technical field.
Experience: 8 to 15 years of experience as an architectural technician, preferably within a globally recognized design studio or firm. Experience with high-complexity geometries and/or interiors is a plus.
Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Revit (mandatory). Knowledge of Rhino, AutoCAD, Grasshopper, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems. Extensive experience with detailing is mandatory and the portfolios should demonstrate that.
Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with local and international building codes, regulations, and sustainability principles.
Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to technical accuracy and detail in drawings and documentation.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work within multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines.
Languages: Fluent in English (speaking, writing and reading), other languages are a plus.
